The Challenge

Equity on the Road grew out of Equity on the Mall, the Fund’s annual advocacy event that has focused attention on health and racial equity in the San Joaquin Valley by bringing hundreds of residents to Sacramento to share their policy priorities with state decision-makers. Equity on the Road was a continuation of this mission by bringing lawmakers to their communities instead. Because this format was new, Tzunu had to adapt to its strategy to elevate 3 events in distinct communities. In addition, given the different locations and communities for these events, Tzunu Strategies had to ensure our communications plan and approach was a good fit for each community.

Our Approach

Tzunu Strategies created a robust communications plan emphasizing community needs, client goals and efficient execution given the back to back to back mass events.. We tailored our on the ground coverage of each town hall and utilized social and mass media to promote key messages and ensure engagement by community with their elected officials.
